Product description:
This light jacket carries the soul of the Miao batik tradition (蜡染), an ancient wax-resist dyeing technique passed down for generations in the misty mountains of Guizhou’s Qiandongnan region. Local artisans hand-draw each motif with melted beeswax before immersing the fabric in deep indigo baths. When the wax is removed, the patterns emerge like constellations — bold, fluid, and alive.
The result is a textile that cannot be replicated: each piece is one-of-a-kind, bearing the variations of handwork, from the flow of indigo to the fine crackle lines where wax once resisted dye. This uniqueness is not imperfection, but the living signature of the artisan’s hand.
Structured with a relaxed cut, the jacket bridges heritage and modernity — wearable art that carries the stories of the mountains into everyday life.

Care Instructions
Hand wash cool / No bleach / Professional dry clean / No tumble dry / Line dry / Low-temp. steaming or ironing.
In order to reduce color bleeding and lock in the colors, for the first couple of washes, we advise to soak the garment in cold salt water (½ cup of salt : 1 gallon of water) for 30-60 mins. Then rinse thoroughly with cold water until the water runs clear. Launder as usual with similar colors afterwards.
